Pam Francis was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived a brief 3 years in Dearborn, Michigan when she attended Kindergarten through second grade. It was while she was in First grade that her teacher, Mrs. Meredith, noticed a talent and encouraged it. Her first painting to ever be displayed was at the age of 6, in the Detroit Museum of Art.
Pam returned to Texas and continued to study art until her move to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 16. While in high school here she won the Golden Palette Awards, and had her work on display at Cheekwood Mansion. She won an art scholarship and attended the Memphis College of Art.
Pam’s first love was painting and in particular watercolors. She is known for her sense of color and well as her strength of color, which is unusual for watercolors. She also taught watercolor and mixed media painting at Vanderbilt University for 16 years.
Ms. Francis is a signature member of the Tennessee WaterMedia Society and has been juried into multiple shows, won numerous awards and her art hangs in private and corporate collections from coast to coast.
